THE FOUNDING OF THE STAPLETON-SPRINGER WINERY

The Stapleton-Springer Winery came into being in 2004. The former US Ambassador Craig Stapleton, lawyer Benjamin Stapleton and winemaker Jaroslav Springer entered into an agreement to create a winery bearing the names of these founding members which was to produce red wine of the highest quality.

The Stapleton-Springer Winery specialises in red wines for long-term laying down. Pinot Noir, which we love, became the family firm's dominant variety.

Our winery operates an organic or BIO regime. In this way we achieve a greater number of antioxidants in the grapes, a better taste and therefore naturally a better quality of wine. We have planted the Čtvrtě, Trkmansko and Terasy vineyards primarily with the Pinot Noir grape (75%). Other varieties are Saint Laurent (10%), Blauer Portugieser (10%) and Chardonnay (5% ). In total the winery operates on 16 hectares of vineyard.
